# Introduction

The **Bits** are bold and infinitely creative beings who call the BitLand home. But years ago, an inexorable expansion of space caused the Bits to separate.

As they developed their technologies to advance the realms, **the distance between them grew tenfold.**

However, the Bits’ **yearning for collaboration** eventually produced an unstoppable force that draws and binds matter together.

They now know the **realms** will only truly flourish with united efforts to **turn hopeful dreams into confident reality.**

To share this Bitverse ethos with others, BitLand built a **portal** that serves as a conduit for other beings to travel into the BitLand ecosystem. **Their dream is to onboard the next billion** beings via the portal conduit.
